A portrait in memory of a beloved pet

When a dog or cat dies, a part of everyday life goes with them – the greeting at the door, the warm spot on the sofa. Many people want something that keeps the memory visible. A portrait made from a favourite photo can be exactly that.

Exactly as you remember them

For a memorial portrait, it matters most that you recognise your companion at first glance. That is why we do not change anything about the animal: the grey muzzle, the slightly crooked ear, the look in their eyes – everything stays as it was in your photo. Only the clothing and background are painted.

A dignified setting

Many people choose the king or queen for a memorial portrait – a calm, dignified pose on a velvet cushion in front of a dark, warm background, in the style of old portrait painting.

Which photo should you use?

Use the photo in which you see your animal most clearly – ideally sharp, in daylight and with the face clearly visible. Older photos work too, as long as the eyes and the face are recognisable. You will see a free preview before ordering, so you can try different photos.

As a gift for someone who is grieving

A portrait can be a comforting gesture for friends or family who have lost their pet. Prints can be sent directly to them; shipping within the EU is free and tracked.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use an old or slightly blurry photo?

Try it – the preview is free. If the face is too blurry, a different photo often gives a better result.
