Who is responsible

SMS Rent d.o.o., Ulica kneza Ljudevita Posavskog 34a, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, OIB 43217969460, email info@aistyling.eu, is the controller for the personal data processed on this website.

What we process and why

  • Orders: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone (if given), order details and payment status, to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet accounting and tax duties (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Your pet photo and pet's name: to create your portrait, send you a preview, print and deliver it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Before AI processing we remove location and camera data (EXIF) from the photo.
  • Customer service: messages you send us, to answer them (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
  • Website operation and security: technical data such as IP address and browser information, processed by Shopify, based on our legitimate interest in a secure, working shop and in preventing fraud (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: technologies that are not strictly necessary, for example for statistics or advertising, are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; in Germany § 25 TDDDG). You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings.

The data needed for your order is required to conclude and perform the contract; without it we cannot accept your order. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Who receives your data

  • Shopify (online shop, payments and file storage)
  • Payment providers you choose at checkout
  • fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc., USA): AI image generation from your pet photo
  • Gelato (Gelato AS, Norway) and its local print partners: printing and shipping
  • Delivery companies: delivery of your parcel

fal.ai processes data in the USA. This transfer is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Shopify may also process data outside the EU/EEA on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of these safeguards at info@aistyling.eu.

How long we keep it

We delete your original pet photo and the portrait files 90 days after delivery, unless we need them longer to handle a complaint or you ask us to delete them sooner. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires (in Croatia generally 11 years). Customer service messages are deleted two years after the matter is closed. Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until you withdraw your consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. Write to info@aistyling.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr) or the authority in your country.

Use of your pet photo

We use your photo and portrait only for your order. We do not show them publicly or use them for advertising unless you have given us separate permission.

Free preview

If you use the free preview before ordering, we process your photo in the same way to create a watermarked preview with our AI provider. We do not keep your photo on our servers after the preview has been created, and we delete previews after 7 days.
